To all the mommas in Las Vegas, Nevada and mommas around the world, that have a Class of 2024 senior and to all mommas that are preparing your kids for the most amazing moment of their lives.
As a mother of 3 kids I know that raising kids is not easy whether you did it with a partner or you did alone. I have done both which makes me forever grateful for the strength I was given to get my kids across the stage at graduation. I still have one more to go. He starts his freshman year soon. I have all the feels as my youngest is on his last chapter of being a kid.
Watching your son or daughter walk across that stage is probably one of the proudest moments you will have as a momma, just like when you held your baby for the first time.
You start off doing everything for them, from feeding them, changing all those dirty diapers to giving them a bath and putting them to bed. As they get older they start to become more and more independent, but we all know the hours that we spend reading to them, checking homework, all the hours we spend at the park, taking them to sporting events, watching them perform on a stage, and congratulating them when they win an awards, and stopping what you are doing to keep them safe, and giving them all our love doesn't go unseen when they graduate from high school.
Mommas you did this you sacrificed a lot to be there for kids and to give them everything that they need. You may have put some of your dreams on hold to be there for your kids. I know I did. I left the military to raise my son. I loved being in the military, but I loved my son more. I know it wasn't always easy but you are the reason that they have become successful in life and you should feel proud of all your hard work and reward yourself.
YOU DID IT!
Get those senior pictures taken so that when they are away you can sit by their picture on the wall and reflect on all that they have accomplished with your amazing guidance, love and support.
Be proud mommas, embrace these final moments before your kids become adults and start their own lives.
You will always be a mom and they will always need you to guide them as adults.
Give yourself a pat on the back and be proud of the amazing job you did as their mom.
